Breast Cancer in Young Women 7th International Consensus Symposium (BCY7)

31.10.2024  -  02.11.2024

Dubai, UAE

Matteo Lambertini, IT - Shani Paluch-Shimon, IL

31 October - 2 November 2024

Breast cancer in young women is a complex disease, occurring when women are at the peak of their reproductive years, family life and careers. Although representing a minority of the total number of cases diagnosed every year, breast cancer in young women is considered a public health issue. Notably, for many years, most research was focused on older women with breast cancer. Young women with breast cancer face unique challenges including complex treatment decision choices, hereditary breast cancer syndromes and a multitude of survivorship issues such as fertility and pregnancy-related concerns. Over the last decade, there has been a growing body of research focusing on young women with breast cancer, increasing our understanding across many areas of their care, including but not limited to, genetics and biology, clinical management, and survivorship.

The Breast Cancer in Young Women 7th International Consensus Symposium 2024 will address challenges and opportunities in different cultural and economic settings, follow-up care, diagnostic and treatment guidelines, from early to advanced breast cancer and survivorship, updating the available evidence and generating future research concepts and collaborations with an interactive, international, and collaborative spirit. It will also include a Consensus Session that will form the basis for a Consensus Guidelines Manuscript to be published after the Symposium.
