DEFINITIVE Task Force “Optimising precision oncology in HER2-positive breast cancer: from biomarkers to value and patient-centred care”
Background
Precision oncology is transforming breast cancer care through advances in biomarker development, molecular profiling, and targeted therapies. However, translating these innovations into clinical practice remains challenging, requiring better integration of biomarkers, real-world evidence, patient-centred outcomes, and value-based approaches.
In HER2-positive breast cancer, ongoing developments in treatment optimisation and disease monitoring offer new opportunities to personalise care while balancing clinical benefit, quality of life, and healthcare sustainability.
A multidisciplinary approach is therefore needed to identify strategies that support evidence-based decision-making and the effective implementation of precision oncology pathways.
Format
Sharing Progress in Cancer Care is undertaking a targeted activity structured in two phases:
- A closed virtual Task Force meeting, to be held on Monday 5 October, 12:00–14:00 CEST
- A report summarising the key outcomes and recommendations emerging from the Task Force
