4th Breast Cancer Survivorship Summit

Background

The 17th International Breast Cancer Conference, organised by the Saudi Oncology Society (SOS) and held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia from October 2–4, 2025, will open on October 2 with the 4th Breast Cancer Survivorship Summit. As an integral part of this distinguished event, the Summit exemplifies our shared dedication to advancing breast cancer treatment, research, and survivorship. This year, Sharing Progress in Cancer Care (SPCC), in collaboration with the 17th IBCC Director, Dr. Meteb Al-Foheidi, has led the scientific development of the Summit under the guidance of Dr. Matti Aapro, SPCC President and Scientific Coordinator.

The 4th Breast Cancer Survivorship Summit will focus on critical issues faced by breast cancer patients following adjuvant therapy, including the management of neurotoxicity, supportive interventions such as photobiomodulation, strategies to enhance adherence to hormonal treatments, and challenges associated with novel therapies like ADCs and immunotherapy. Regional considerations relevant to the Arab world and essential survivorship topics, such as the “right to be forgotten,” will also be explored.

Through expert presentations and interactive discussions, the Summit aims to advance patient care and survivorship outcomes globally.
